Altitude comes with the following drivers included as standard:

OPC

The OPC driver enables any OPC server based system to communicate with Altitude providing connectivity to literally thousands of systems and protocols. It is compliant with the OPC DA 2.0. The OPC driver populates the project tree automatically by interrogating each OPC server. This means the Altitude administrator does not have to create any configuration scripts or import files. This is a valuable benefit when it comes to connecting to large and/or dynamic networks.

DDE

The DDE client driver enables any network protocol with a DDE server application to communicate with Altitude. The DDE driver requires manual configuration of the nodes in the project tree. However this configuration step is very easy and the DDE driver uses a simple syntax that can be edited in its own text editor window. The DDE Driver comes with a simple DDE test application and sample configurations.

Modbus

The Modbus driver enables any Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII (serial or TCP/IP) based system to communicate with Altitude providing connectivity to literally thousands of Modbus devices such as industrial measurement / control and energy meter data. This driver has a unique feature that allows internal summation, average and scaling of data values in the same Modbus network. This enables fast and efficient data results.

LNS

The LonWorks® driver enables any LonWorks® LNS® Database to communicate with Altitude. The devices on a LonWorks® network can be controlled using an Altitude Client displayed in a standard web browser.

Supports LonWorks® Authentication

Supports remote LNS® client using TCP/IP or NSI communications

Supports the use of a High Performance Network Interface (HPNI). The HPNI is a high capacity data driver as provided by network interfaces such as the Echelon® i.Lon, Loytec® and Adept® IP interfaces

The LonWorks® driver populates the project tree automatically from the description in the LNS® database. This means the user does not have to create any configuration scripts or import files. This is a valuable benefit when it comes to connecting to large and/or dynamic networks.

BACnet

BACnet is increasingly becoming the data communication protocol for building automation and control networks. Plexus is an authorised BACnet vendor and as such has developed its BACnet driver in compliance with BACnet standards.

SQL

The SQL data driver enables data from any ODBC compliant database to be read by Altitude providing access to data from a variety of data acquisition sources. This data can then be displayed live in a standard Web browser. Typical applications include factory automation and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) where process data is stored in a database and needs to be available in real time to a variety of decision making personnel.

CSV

The CSV driver enables data to be read by Altitude providing data to many SCADA and bespoke systems. The CSV driver also has an option to write the data back into a different file thus allowing data transfer between systems.
