Dynamic base-lines are created by adjusting historic energy usage for variations in outside air temperature and occupancy to ensure meaningful interpretation of energy profiles.  It therefore provides a simple basis for monitoring the effectiveness of the building automation controls strategy to changing conditions or issues with critical sensors e.g. outside air temperature.
