Altitude software is compatible with
the majority of meters on the market, being compatible with Pulse, Modbus or
Optical Meters. Plexus has third party
supply arrangements in place for Modbus sub-meters, which benefit from the
large number of different pieces of information held within the meter that our
software can access in real-time.
Altitude can exploit the meter’s data capability fully, by retrieving,
logging and presenting a selection of data in real time which, unlike pulse
signals, will always reflect the true value displayed on the meter from the
moment the system is connected. Modbus
sub-meters provide a real benefit to the customer through accessing these
different bits of information from within the meter. The customer can then receive real-time
alerts on different types of data such as Amps or Voltage dropping to zero or
Power Factor out of balance. This information is useful for generating alerts
and allowing Building managers to prevent outages, optimise their energy distribution
and maintain their systems before a serious problem occurs.
